Las Vegas parks added new pull-up stations and circuit markers this spring at multiple sites, giving residents direct access to free strength and cardio equipment.
The city's wellness scene expanded after 2024 county investments in outdoor infrastructure. Heat warnings issued for July 2026 pushed more people toward shaded stations rather than indoor gyms that charge monthly fees. Clark County recorded steady growth in park visits as residents looked for zero-cost options near their neighborhoods.
Circuits at Sunset Park and Lorenzi Park
Sunset Park on East Sunset Road near Pecos Road holds a full circuit with leg press units, parallel bars and a 400-meter loop marked every 100 meters. The equipment sits under shade structures added in 2023. Lorenzi Park along West Washington Avenue features a separate row of elliptical trainers and dip stations next to the baseball fields. Both locations stay open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with no reservations required.
North Las Vegas residents also use the stations at Craig Ranch Regional Park off Craig Road. The park added six new resistance machines last year funded through a county bond measure. Trails connect the fitness area to a one-mile walking path around the soccer fields.
Usage numbers and maintenance schedule
Clark County Parks logged 178,000 visits to outdoor fitness zones in 2025, up 25 percent from the prior year. Routine inspections occur every Tuesday morning, and broken cables get replaced within 48 hours. No entry fee applies at any of these sites, though users must bring their own water during peak afternoon hours.
People new to the circuits can start with the beginner markers posted at Sunset Park, which list sets of 10 to 15 repetitions. Arrive before 8 a.m. to avoid direct sun on the metal surfaces. The county website lists exact equipment maps for each park so visitors can plan routes that match their goals.
