Bishop Gorman and Liberty Eye 2026 State Football Championship Returns

Bishop Gorman High School opens its 2026 football practices on July 20 with 14 returning starters from the squad that reached the NIAA Division I final in December.

Bishop Gorman sits on West Charleston Boulevard in Summerlin and draws athletes from across the valley. Across town in Henderson, Liberty High School returns its starting quarterback and three defensive linemen who combined for 28 sacks last fall. Both schools compete in the same Sunrise Region and have met in the postseason three times since 2022.

Local data from the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association shows 5,872 students participated in varsity football across Clark County last season, with average game attendance of 3,850 at the top 12 programs. Ticket prices for regular-season contests remain $10 at the gate or $8 online through the CCSD athletics portal.

Schedule and Ticket Details

The first district game involving both squads is set for September 18 at Liberty's home field. Fans can purchase season passes for $65 that cover all home games plus one playoff round.
